I earned a Masters in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in 2015. Prior to starting a private practice, I worked in a child & family clinic serving families across the county. I now have 10 years of experience providing individual and family therapy and assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults.
I currently specialize in working with children ages 3-12 who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or adjustment to life changes. My goal is always to work collaboratively with parents so that they can support their child's mental health at home.
I use a variety of approaches within my work, including but not limited to: attachment-based, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and trauma-focused therapy.
In my work with children, I primarily use play and art-informed interventions. These methods allow children to process uncomfortable feelings that they often don't have the vocabulary to describe. I offer a variety of tools such as puppets, dolls, story-telling, clay, paint, sand tray, LEGOS, and therapeutic games to make sessions fun and engaging. It is a privilege to see children grow within therapy and I am honored to hold this space for them.
